Head Coach
Curtis Tolson
Curtis’s qualifications begin with a vast amount of race experience. He began racing in 1980 riding an average of 12,000 miles and 50 races per year as a junior, Elite and master level rider. This equates to approximately 1400 days of racing and 330,000 miles of training/riding. Curtis's resume include 2 bronze medals at the Masters World Championships, 26 US Masters National Championships, 4 US Elite National Silver medals and many other wins on both the road and track. He founded and is the current co-director of the Texas Roadhouse Cycling team. Along the way he was fortunate to have trained and raced against some of the best cyclists in the world. He was also fortunate to have been coached by some of the top names in the sport along the way. Additional qualifications include: a level 3 USAC coaches license, time working with both Wenzel coaching and Carmichael Training Systems as a pro coach and the GM of the Louisville CTS center. Now that he is on his own he plans to bring a more hands-on approach to coaching than was possible before.
Associate Coach
Sean Steele
Sean Steele discovered riding in 2004 when he began his quest to lose 110 pounds. After a year of riding with local club members he found he had a natural ability in the sport. In his very first race as a Cat 5, he placed second in the local spring series. That was quickly followed by a win the very next race and he has never looked back. With many wins and top 10's too numerous to count, Sean is now a cat 2 racer riding for Texas Roadhouse Cycling Team. Sean began his coaching quest at Carmichael Training Systems and is a level 3 USAC Coach.
