Curtis Tolson | Head Coach

Curtis’s qualifications begin with a vast amount of race experience. He began racing in 1981 riding an average of 12,000 miles and 50 races per year as a Junior, Elite and Master's level rider. This equates to approximately 1,500 days of racing and over 300,000 miles of training/riding on Kentucky roadways.
Not only has Curtis been very fortunate to have trained and raced with and against some of the best cyclists in the world, but he has also been coached by some of the top names in the sport along the way.
A few of Curtis's accomplishment's:
     * Racing since 1981 as a Junior, Elite and Masters category racer.
     * Trained in excess of 300,000 miles on KY roadways.
     * Won regional level Pro 1,2 races in 4 different decades.
     * Received coaching as a racer from many of the sports top coaches (Roger Young, Chris Carmichael, Eddie B., Craig Griffen, Mark Whitehead, Des Dickie).
     * Worked as an associate coach for Rene Wenzel(Jr National team Coach) 2005.
     * Worked as a “pro level coach” for CTS and GM of CTS Louisville 2007.
     * Opened my own coaching business in August 2007.
     * Founder & current co-director of Texas Roadhouse Cycling Team.
     * Currently operating my own coaching company.
     * Successfully directed programs for clients ranging from reaching weight loss goals to preparing for international level events.
     * Head coach USA Cycling 2011 regional development track camp, Indianapolis, IN.
     * Assistant Track Coach Marian College cycling team.
     * University of Kentucky, 1988 | BS Business Administration.
     * USA Cycling level 3 coach.
     * Completed training at Carmichael Training Systems [CTS] Coaching College.
Honors and Activities:
     * 30 Time U.S. National Cycling Champion, Current Madison & Team Pursuit.
     * 2008 & 2009 “Best All Around Rider Award” at US Masters National Track Cycling Championships.
     * Bronze Medalist 1997 & 2006 Masters World Track Cycling Championships.
     * Bronze Medalist 2003 Elite Pan American Trials.
     * Silver Medalist 2004 Elite Olympic Trials.

Rob Bush | Coach

Rob Bush


Bringing together formal education in exercise science with a vast amount of international bike racing experience, Rob provides clients with a coaching service rivaled by few in the Midwest. 

A competitor from an early age, Rob naturally gravitated toward endurance sports in his early teen years. Rob completed his first triathlon, which he won, at age 13. In high school he began to focus exclusively on bike racing and, under the tutelage of Curtis Tolson, earned a ride on the U.S. Junior National Team in 2007. That summer he travelled to Europe to race against the world's best, the first of many trips across the pond. Rob continued to progress through the ranks of junior and U-23 cycling all the way to the top, winning the Under-23 US National Championship Road Race (2012) and Criterium (2011). Along the way, while riding for the US National Team and several professional squads, Rob traveled to more than 30 different countries, competing in numerous World Cup, World Championship, and Professional cycling events. Below is a brief list of highlights from a colorful racing career:

     *US National Champion, Division I Collegiate Men Overall

     *Winner, Tour de Beauce Stage 5

     *Winner, Cascade Cycling Classic Points Classification and 1 stage

     *4th, Paris-Roubaix Espoirs

     *2x Team USA World Championships Team Member

     *12x US Collegiate National Champion with Marian University 

Rob had the privilege of attending Marian University to race for the multi-time National Champion Marian Knights. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Performance, graduating Summa Cum Laude. It was here that Rob discovered a love for research and the science underlying great performances. 

Rob is happily married to Alicia. They live in New Albany, IN. Alicia attends school at University of Louisville Dental School. Rob is a member of the 123rd Kentucky Air National Guard.
